Amnesia

Situated on the road to San Antonio, coming from Ibiza, on the left side .  

You could reach the amnesia by car, disco-bus or by taxi. Walking is impossible and very dangerous.

The Cocoon-Party (or Cocoon Club) is a real "MUST HAVE SEEN" on Mondays for everybody, who likes big and fantastic Party's!

The Cocoon-Party, produced by Sven Vaeth, a famous DJ from Germany, is a real great and amazing party with good music and spectacularly live-events!

Example: 2 Robots, about 2,5 meters tall, are dancing at the dance floor between the people and dance, dance, dance..... look at the pictures!!!!

By the way: I have to say "Thank You" to Michael Hofmann from the  Cocoon-Team for the photography permission in 2000! We have had two "hot" nights!!!!!; Since 2001: best regards and "Thank You" to Sandra and Johannes from Cocoon Team for the permissions in the past (and hopefully in the future) years!!

Eight years of Cocoon in Ibiza! Eight years of Cocoon style Monday madness. Back in the summer of 1999, we would have never considered this would carry on for eight years. The number Eight as a date is perfect for our Cocoon events at Amnesia. We manage to excite both our long-term fans as well as Cocoon newbies again and again. Just like the number eight, we are doing the rounds and serve an excellent club meal on the two Amnesia floors - which is unequalled worldwide. The infinity symbol of the figure 8 represents a deep emotion with which we ’freaks’ can identify, of course. We are also living this endless passion and render homage to the rituals we have established over the years. Freaks like us are people who have dedicated themselves so deeply to their passion and live it to such an extent that they want to pass it on to others and want them to be part of this eternal fascination. For decades Ibiza and its party culture has captivated thousands. Since the early seventies, art fans and music lovers from all over the world have met here to worship the sun and celebrate the night. They have all been here: ageing hippies, psy-rockers, reggae musicians and of course the disco freaks and pilgrims of electronic dance music who are searching for acid house, techno and balearic beats; Ibiza has become the capital of the United Nation Of Freaks!

Looking back over the past successful seasons, we have thought of something special. Having developed our very own style throughout the years - like no other party on the island – we lay claim to one of the hottest spots in Ibiza! It is now time to take care for some of our offspring among the freaks! So, in the eighth season, we have our own freaks slipping out of the cocoons to surprise you with larger-than-life masks and costumes; in order to make the absolute freak show perfect. Also, musically, we consistently follow our path and, besides Über-Freak and Cocoon head Sven Väth, present the Freakmasters Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice throughout the summer. New in the team are Thomas Melchior and Gabriel Ananda / Dominik Eulberg, both of them live! Likewise for their debut on the island, we have Lawrence and the Live Acts of Martin Buttrich, Guy Gerber and Jacek Sienkiewicz. Alongside James Holden, André Galluzzi, Miss Kittin, Luciano, Roman Flügel and Tobi Neumann, the next freak generation is represented by Chris Tietjen and Raresh. From CocoonClub Frankfurt, we bring you the two residents C-Rock and Karotte, and back at the decks are freak chefs Steve Bug, Magda, Tiefschwarz, Pascal FEOS, Frank Lorber, False aka Matthew Dear live, Gaiser live, Önur Özer, Arian and MarT.

2007: Manumission has moved to Amnesia!

Press Information from Manumission:

After 14 years of Manumission in Privilege  (or initially KU), in Ibiza, we have moved to Amnesia. Whilst this is not something we would have chosen to do mid season, we are delighted with the change, and feel that it is in the best interests of our customers, our staff and our party. It is widely known that we have had a turbulent history with Privilege and last Friday they took the decision to keep the venue closed. This resulted in many thousands of people who had bought tickets being turned away for no reason. Under those circumstances we acted as responsibly as we could, and by now everyone should have received a full refund from the place of purchase.

 Manumission has built its name on creativity and innovation, and now all this energy will be invested in the REOPENING of MANUMISSION this Friday 10^th August at Amnesia, which is sure to go down as one of the events of the decade. We are most grateful to our friends at Amnesia, and Made In Italy for their invitation to join them on Fridays. We now have a venue that is working along side us and we look forward to the future.
